I made a trip to see Robert at Fat Fish Blue in Cleveland with one of my closest friends in 2002 or 2003. He bought me a drink, gave me an autograph and his phone number and invited us to meet with him the following morning. He showed us the street named after him and took us to his home where he let me hold the guitar you see him play in this video. He told me that, although he didn't normally wear sneakers, he really liked the blue suede Airwalks I had on. His wife, Mary, told me he wore size 9 1/2. I picked up a pair for him and brought them to Fat Fish Blue on my next trip. After his performance, I asked him if the shoes fit. He said, "They 9 1/2s ain't they? Why the f*** wouldn't they fit?" I'll never forget that laugh. He introduced us to his friend Clarence - better known as "Stacks" and promised that he would show us a good time. He absolutely did. The next year, Robert was performing with Honeyboy Edwards, Philadelphia Jerry Ricks, and Homesick James at the Chicago Blues Festival. Mary invited us back stage to see him. What an outstanding experience. His contributions to American music are tremendously under-appreciated. He was a humble, hospitable man with a great sense of humor. He is missed.

Stuart McDonald was sentenced only too 11 years in prison in October 2008 for murdering Laura so he's out now what sort of justice is that for that poor 18 year old who died in the most horrific way possible. It's her daughter Millie who turned 13 in March I feel sorry not only knowing her Mother was murdered when she wasn't even 2 years old but knowing that her Father had killed her. R.I.P Laura and I hope one day that man ends up in hell which is excacly where he belongs.

If you take an innocent life, you should pay with yours.
